Why can't I upload a photo from my Apple iPhone or iPad?
It is not possible to upload photos using Apple's Safari web browser on devices such as the iPhone or iPad running iOS 5 or earlier versions of this operating system.
The workaround is to use a dedicated app like Aurigma Up! or Picup, or an alternative web browser like WebUploader, or the iCab Mobile browser.
However, the problem is resolved with Apple's iOS6 operating system, released September 2012, which allows you to take a new photo for upload, or to select an existing image from the 'Camera Roll' photo library.
